Job Summary
Medical Center (NHRMC) in beautiful Wilmington, North Carolina, is seeking a Movement Disorders outpatient neurologist to join their practice. The new movement specialist will join two existing movement disorder providers and will have the option to perform DBS programming. This group in Wilmington is home to 37 care providers, specializing in a wide variety of services including stroke, neuromuscular, epilepsy and seizures, headaches, movement disorders and intensive care.
- Very busy practice with one movement disorders neurologist and two APP seeing full schedule of 90% movement disorders patients
- Large catchment area resulting in very diverse population of movement disorders seen in clinic
- Very high percentage of clinical practice will be movement disorders only
- DBS proficiency highly needed and supported
- Botulinum toxin clinic supported with dedicated staff for prior authorizations
- Multispecialty neurology support with headache, epilepsy, neuroimmunology, neuromuscular subspecialists within the practice
- 4 days of clinic and 1 day of administration
- No hospital call, hospital has inpatient neuro hospitalists, stroke center and neuro ICU
- Full time neuropsychologist, clinical pharmacist, and therapist within neurology practice

Qualifications
- Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of medicine, required.
- Completion of an accredited residency program, required.
- For specialty physicians - completion of an accredited fellowship program specific to medical specialty.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Current MD license in appropriate state.
- Board certification or eligibility.
- Current DEA license, required.
