Westchester County, New York, Surgical Physician Assistant Job

- Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible physician assistant
- Work for a hospital based surgical practice
- Schedule: four 10 hour shifts a week
- Work alongside other APPs and surgeons
- You’d be first assistant in a variety of specialties: general surgery, bariatric, head & neck, OBGYN, orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, and plastics
- DaVinci Robot experience is preferred, but not required – client will train
- You’d do morning rounds on pre- and post-op surgical patients
- Complete H&Ps on routine and emergent admissions
- Perform surgical consults
- Must be comfortable working solo as needed
- Procedures include: central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, dialysis catheters, incision and drainage
- New grads are welcome to apply if they’ve recently completed a surgical training program -- otherwise, 3+ years first assist surgical experience required
