McAllen, Texas, PM&R Medical Director Job - Inpatient Rehab Facility

Clinical Role:

- Seeking a board certified or eligible physiatrist
- Medical director position available, as well
- Consult service
- Inpatient rehab facility
- Four physicians in the market
- Shared call of 1:4
- See 18-20 patients per day at the inpatient facility
- Group has a compliance program

Organization Information:
- Nationwide physiatry group
- Group employs 100+ physicians nationwide
- Physicians are typically employed as W2
- If you do part-time, you’d be a 1099 directly through the hiring entity
- Employed providers get full benefits
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Malpractice insurance with a tail
- Full-time providers make a guaranteed $150,000 per year
- Once you meet the company’s bonus structure, you get 70% of the billings
- On average, their full-time physicians make $300,000 annually
- Group uses an app called MD Coder – it allows you to put your charges in with ease, provides you with billing codes, and ensures that all are meeting compliance standards
